This homemade Sazon is so super easy to make!! I love making my own spice mixes because you are able to control how much salt you want to (or don’t want to) put into it! I hope you enjoy it!

SAŹON:
1 TBS GROUND CORIANDER ( I have also used GROUND fennel before because that’s all I had lol)
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon of turmeric or ground annatto seeds (I prefer turmeric for health reasons but ground annatto seeds is traditional )
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 table spoon salt
2 teaspoons of oregano
1-2 tsp black pepper

Mix together and store in a sealed airtight container !

  1. So I actually really love Sazon but never was sure what was in those magic packets. I’m going to try making this…I wonder if it will come out cheaper if I make a large batch. It’d be great for cooking out this summer.

    1. I think it is cheaper!!!! And healthier 😀
I will be posting my jerk spice seasoning blend soon! Which is amazing on sooo many things! I use it instead of season-salt/season-all. It’s my all-purpose seasoning now lol.

  2. Yay! It’s the first time ever I’m seeing ingredients on seasoning; I love this. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I’ll def give this a try

  6. I’ve actually never heard of this. What do you like using it with most?

    1. I’m pretty new to it myself. It’s used in a lot of hispanic dishes. The seasoning is used on meats, fish, poultry and even to flavor soups and stews. It’s really tasty!
