Roasted Berry Barbecue Sauce – So Delicious – So Easy !

Mixed Berry BBQ Sauce
I must say, this  Barbecue sauce is some of THE best sauce I have EVER had! More importantly, it’s strawberry season so this recipe is JUST in time!! It’s always best to use the freshest in-season berries for your BBQ sauce because they tend to be sweeter and juicier !  I will say, normally my “Go-To” BBQ Sauce is Sweet Baby Ray’s , which is awfully good!!

ALL Strawberry BBQ Sauce
I’m sorry to say though, my love relationship with them has ended!! Making your own BBQ sauce is rewarding in the fact that you are making it yourself and it’s SO much better than store bought!  I made a similar recipe a few weeks ago, and it was a hit!
This time that I decided to make it, I made a few changes. Last time I only used strawberries. This time I used a variety of fruit.
While you traditionally use molasses in BBQ sauce recipes , in this recipe I decided to use HONEY instead of molasses, because I bought that on sale too.  Therefore you can use honey or molasses – either way you will have a really tasty BBQ sauce on your hand!
I however decided to double JUST the BBQ sauce portion to make more.  I really love this sauce and plan to use it on more than just ribs!!
Let me know how you enjoy it, and make sure to share 🙂

  3. This looks so good(and healthy)! As much as I hate putting the energy into making more things from scratch…they usually taste so much better. This initially reminds me of & Pizza’s Cherry Bomb bbq sauce which they put on pizza so maybe that would be a good way to start exploring.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment Kamil!! That is soooo true – it does at times take a lot of energy to make things from scratch – but it feels SOOO good knowing whats being put into the food that you eat!!! And I agree – it usually tastes SO much better!!!

Mannnn that sounds amazing – the pizza suggestion. I actually have a cauliflower pizza crust recipe that I will try that sauce with. I have to think of what toppings since I don’t eat anything other than seafood now 🙂 Thanks for the idea!

    2. If you have a Sprouts in your area – check them out. They usually have great prices on ribs as the warmer months hit!

  6. This is soooo interesting! OMG! 😩 Is this almost like having pineapple habanero BBQ sauce?? I love that sauce so much 😍 I use to buy Sweet Baby Ray’s as well but it has high fructose corn syrup in it. I’ve been purchasing this other BBQ sauce that’s much more “organic.” So so good! I believe the brand is called Stubb’s. If you sell this, I’ll be the first one to purchase lol! Thanks for this post babes! I love it!

    1. Yesss. I think it’d be just like a pineapple habenero bbq sauce. Funny you say that – I made a Pineapple Habenero Jelly – that was amazinggggggggggggg. I LOVE sweet baby ray’s!!!! Thats what I use when I’m too lazy to make my own!!!! I will check out stubbs for sure – I would like something better than Sweet Baby Ray’s when I don’t feel like making it myself!!
