This will be a really quick pattern review! I’ve been looking for a pattern that had a really deep plunging neckline. I just love that look ! This pattern was absolutely perfect for that!! The bodice (top) is fully lined so I did not need to wear a bra – which is always great 😀
A Misses’ boho chic dress or maxi dress is perfect for a spring or summer day. Pattern design features halter top with bow tie at back or cross back with spaghetti straps.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
The dress looked a lot like the photo (minus the changes I made to the skirt)
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were super easy to follow. As always, I read the instructions first.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the style of the bodice. I didn’t really like the skirt that came with the pattern.
I used a beautiful cotton sateen from JoAnn’s. I couldn’t find it online but here is a link to a very similar one that I have used before : Click Here. You can actually see this fabric in action in my review of simplicity by clicking HERE.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did not use the skirt that came with the pattern. I just really prefer how circle skirts look. They fall more like umbrella’s to me, and that’s the style i was going for!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will absolutely sew it again with the slight modification I made (circle skirt).
This is a lovely pattern , the fit is perfect and it’s exactly what i was looking for!
