Esplanade Bra Pattern

Psssttt! Hello! Some of the external links (like amazon, ebay, share-a-sale, etc) below are affiliate links, this means (at no additional cost to you) I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. I really appreciate you supporting my blog. Thank you.

Finally! The supplies!

I’m so excited I finally have all the supplies needed to complete the Esplanade Bra by Orange Lingerie.

I purchased this pattern well over a month ago. The fabric that I originally had in mind to create it was this beautiful white Scuba fabric from Jo-Ann Fabric‘s.

I have really been trying to prepare myself for Bra-Making ! I practiced with elastic with the Ariane Dress pattern. Β It really gave me a lot of confidence working with elastic. While this pattern does NOT use fold over elastic – I still think the practice was helpful!

I found that it was a bit difficult / time consuming to search for all of the supplies needed for this pattern. This is what i’m finding out about Bra’s period though! It’s not that the Esplanade Bra pattern in particular has “hard to find” notions, it’s just that I notice MOST fabric stores don’t carry the tools needed for Bra’s.
I have other bra patterns as well, and I will have to order online for supplies for all of them.

Where did I get the supplies?

I went to Tailor Made Shop! The Tailor Made Shop (The Tailor Made Blog) saved the DAY! They have partnered with Orange Lingerie to provide Bra-Kits. In addition to the Orange Lingerie kits , Tailor Made Shop has other Bra-kits from other designers as well. You should really check them out!!

I think that going forward I will buy my supplies in bulk. I just didn’t want to do that my first time around – since the Esplanade IS my first Bra. Therefore I didn’tΒ want to overwhelm myself by buying up a whole bunch of supplies, not truly knowing what all I will need in the future! Β In conclusion

Anywho, I’ve rambled enough , check out my haul video below πŸ™‚
