Hello everyone! I have been really busy sewing lately ! Lets just dive right into everything that WE (because you love it too right) love about this pattern and MimiG!

This will be a really quick pattern review! I’ve been looking for a pattern that had a really deep plunging neckline. I just love that look ! This pattern was absolutely perfect for that!! The bodice (top) is fully lined so I did not need to wear a bra – which is always great 😀
I absolutely love when inspiration hits! I begin sewing and something magical takes place!
About a year ago I was inspired by the fabulous Tracee Ellis Ross wearing a blue cowl hooded dress. It was GORGEOUS!
I was unsure how to tackle it at the time although it’s a very easy dress to make. When I came across this beautiful inspiration I had only been sewing maybe a month. Sooooo yea, albeit simple, your girl couldn’t understand how to execute it lol.
I used McCalls Pattern M7020 and for the dress I used a pattern I drafted myself for simple dresses. But you could totally use M6886, just use the sleeves and front and back peices and the Hood piece from M7020!
That’s why I’m so proud of myself and in love with this dress. This is something I wanted create and I did it. #GoMe
What do you guys think? Did I Nail It?
